One way that a veteran’s past experiences might affect their present life is PTSD. They might have PTSD from gunfire and screams. May cause them to all of sudden duck, lay flat on the floor, and/or flinch. May have a stroke from hearing gunfire. May raise their children with militaristic ways and be overprotective.
